Over the course of two hours, Moncton firefighters tackled a blaze in a paint store on Millennium Boulevard yesterday afternoon.
Platoon Chief Rob Brine says they were called about smoke from the building after 4, and three stations responded.
“We entered the front door, found the occupancy about three quarters involved in fire, we did a quick knockdown, aggressively,” says Brine. “We went in and did some overall, but other than that it was contained to one unit.”
Brine says the unit itself is likely a total loss, but fortunately there were no injuries as the people inside at the time escaped.
