Fredericton Real Estate Manager Suspended For Shoplifting

A Fredericton real estate manager convicted of shoplifting has been found unsuitable to hold a licence by the Financial and Consumer Services Commission.

Siew Lan Hong Mulligan was found guilty last August of stealing from a Fredericton grocery store, and the commission was later made aware of the conviction.

Mulligan was supposed to disclose her conviction to the commission immediately, but her lawyer told her not to because he thought only “serious offences” had to be reported.

The commission found Mulligan’s conviction, as well as her lack of disclosure, spoke to her integrity and her unsuitability to hold a licence.

Mulligan won’t be able to apply for a new licence until next February.
