On Friday, Codiac RCMP members descended on the area of Mountain Road and Wheeler Boulevard after receiving reports of a man with a weapon.
RCMP Media Liaison Corporal Jullie Rogers-Marsh says a member of the public called Codiac RCMP just before one with a complaint about a possibly armed person.
She adds officers, including a canine unit were deployed to search but they couldn’t find the suspect.
However, Rogers-Marsh believes they know the individual involved and are continuing to look for them.
Nobody was injured, and the investigation is ongoing.
