Winter Storm Watch For Moncton Ends, Special Weather Statement Now In Effect

For those of you who were concerned about that winter storm watch issued by Environment Canada yesterday, you can breathe a sigh of relief this morning.

BUT, we’re not in the clear just yet.

Enviornment Canada has issued another special weather statement.

With that low pressure system approaching from the west, they expect it to track across southern New England tonight and cross southwestern Nova Scotia on Wednesday. Snow will spread across the province by early this evening and end Wednesday morning.

The snowfall amounts are expected to remain below 15 cm in northern and eastern New Brunswick, but there is still a chance they could be higher if this system shifts in its expected track. In Fredericton and York County, they are under a snowfall warning.

They’re also warning of another system late Wednesday night and Thursday. It could bring significant snowfall over the northern half of the province, and rain for the southern half.
