Interim PC Leader Questions Where ONB Annual Report Is

During question period in the provincial Legislature interim leader of the Progressive Conservative party Bruce Fitch turned to the minister of Economic Development and Opportunities NB to ask why ONB hasn’t filed its annual report.

“What are they trying to hide, what’s the new minister trying to hide? Set a new time and release the report.”

Premier Brian Gallant responded to Fitch pointing to New Brunswick having the second-largest wage growth in Canada from November 2014 to November 2015. He also points to a 1.9-percent increase in the GDP which he says is the largest increase since 2010.

“That’s right we skipped over the Conservative government in which the leader of the Opposition was a member. We had the largest increase of our GDP in 2015, the fourth largest in the country,” says Gallant.

ONB is the Crown cororation responsible for economic development.
