Nine residents of the Greater Moncton area are benefitting from grants from the New Brunswick Arts Board.
Artsnb released the winners of it’s April competitions, and 9 of 36 winners were from Moncton or Dieppe.
Out of the $275,000 granted, a little over $74,000 went to those 9 winners.
They include $15,000 each for Phil Comeau and Mario Doucette for their respective achievements in the Media Arts, and Visual Arts.
Grants were awarded to beginner artists, as well as more established artists with regional, national or even international recognition.
A final category called “Documentation Grants” awarded money to those who researched, developed and executed original documentation of arts activities.
The full list of winners, including those from Moncton and Dieppe are available at the Artsnb link below.
