A warning to all you outdoor enthusiasts from the New Brunswick Department of Public Safety’s Emergency Measures Organization.
The department’s Paul Bradley warning that because of the temperatures we’ve been experiencing it’s not safe to cross waterways on foot, on snowmobile or on ATV right now. Bradley says waterways aren’t as forzen as they normally would be this time of year. He says a day of 10-degree weather and some rain could lead to movement and break-up of ice.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Saint John area along with Grand Manan and Coastal Charlotte County.
EMO says significant flooding is not expected but it’s possible some areas along rivers and streams could run into some issues.
