A 24-year-old Caraquet man will spend the next two years plus a day in jail after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography and making child pornography available.
Jonathan LaPlante was arrested last October after RCMP carried out a search warrant at his home.
In addition to his sentence, LaPlante will be placed on the National Sex Offender Registry for life.
Once released from jail, he will be prohibited from communicating with anyone under 16 without supervision.
