Campers Gearing Up For A New Season

Now that spring has arrived and the snow has started to melt, many of us have turned our thoughts to the upcoming camping season.

Kouchibougauc National Park is one of many spots in the province that still has a lot of snow on the ground.

The park will begin taking online reservations for the camping season next week.

But park spokesperson Jerome Luccier says all of their sites may not be open in time for the May long weekend.

“Park personnel will be taking some measures including snow removal to ensure that some sites are available for the opening of the camping season at the South Kouchibouguac Campground.”

Sites that do not have acceptable conditons will remain blocked off to campers until things improve.
