New Poll Shows NB’ers Want More Government Action On Climate Protection

It appears many New Brunswickers want government action to protect the environment.

A poll was conducted in March for Climate Action Network Canada, and it found that 70 per cent of those polled in the province want a commitment to phase out coal, oil and gas and replace them with renewable energy sources.

Meantime, 80 per cent said they want a say in the decision making around energy projects.

It also found that over 73 per cent of New Brunswickers want to see a plan for creating jobs in the renewable energy sector.
