Montreal Canadiens Legend Jean Beliveau Dies At 83

Sad news out of the hockey world as Montreal Canadiens legend Jean Beliveau has died. The Montreal Canadiens confirmed the news late Tuesday. Beliveau had multiple health issues in recent years including a number of strokes. He was also hospitalized with pneumonia this past summer. Beliveau played 20 seasons, all with Montreal. He scored 507 goals and 1,219 points in 1,125 NHL games. Beliveau was a 14-time All-Star and a two-time League MVP. His name appears on the Stanley Cup a record 17 times; 10 as a player and seven as an executive. Beliveau was 83 years old.
