“Be quiet and do as you’re told”………That’s the message provincial NDP leader Dominic Cardy claims Fredericton High is sending out to the students who have been suspended after demonstrating against the school’s dress code. He argues it’s the wrong message at a time when we’re trying to produce critical thinkers.
Cardy warns being barred from taking part in extracurricular activities could hurt the students when they apply at universities for admission.
In Cardy’s view, you should have either school uniforms or no dress code at all.
