The Saint John Y exceeding its local fundraising goal thanks to a very generous gift.
Irving Oil contributing $3 million dollars to the new facility in the North end.
Arthur Irving says he thinks the new facility will definitely change things in the neighbourhood.
He says he started going to the Y when he was just a wee guy when he would go with his brothers and they always had a lot of fun.
The new facility will be called the Saint John Regional Y.
