M-L-A’s Returning To Legislature

M-L-A’s return to the Legislature tomorrow for the fall session with the Speech from the Throne to be read by the new Lieutenent-Governor Jocelyne Roy-Vienneau. This will lay out the new government’s agenda.

A pro-life rally will take place at the Legislature before that to protest the government’s announced plans to remove abortion restrictions in hospitals.

Liberal Donald Arsenault was Deputy Premier in the Graham Government then in opposition and now is the new Energy Minister. Legislation for a moratorium on fracking is also expected to be introduced by the Gallant Government and will likely spark intense debate.

The new Conservative M-L-A for Saint John East, Glen Savoie was sworn in after winning the November 17th by-election. He’ll be the party’s critic for natural resources and seniors.
