Motor Vehicle Crashes With Injuries On The Rise In NB

The RCMP are reporting an increase this year in motor vehicle collisions that involve injuries.

Sergeant Andre Pepin says in New Brunswick, there have been over 1100 motor vehicle collisions with injuries. That’s 15 per cent higher than this time last year.

The number of fatal motor vehicle collisions this year though is on par with last year, and and at the lowest rate since 1956.

During the Thanksgiving weekend, officers will be out in full force as a part of Operation Impact, which is a police initiative designed to raise awareness in an effort to save lives and reduce injuries on our roadways.
