Mental health programs at the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre in Shediac are getting a financial boost..
The Medavie Health Foundation has given a $33,000 grant to the Centre.
Executive Director of the Centre Kris Leblanc says it will be used for the development of an online portal, that will offer a forum for youth.
The money will also be used for a 10 session training program that helps youth deal with difficulties in life. It’s a program that has already helped over 800 young people.
Leblanc says since the Centre opened its doors in 1997, they’ve helped more than 18, 000 thousand people, 1500 peof those have gone to the centre since January 2014.
