After 30 years, the Greater Moncton Wastewater Commission has decided to make a name change.
It was announced this morning that in day to day operations, it will now be known as “TransAqua.”
General Manager Bernard Leblanc says they made the decision after thorough research, through interviews with the public and key stakeholders.
Leblanc says the new name better represents what the commission does, which is transforming wastewater and returning it to nature.
