The provincial NDP is the third party to announce a plan for agriculture and local food and beverages, along with the Liberals and Green Party.
Leader Dominic Cardy says if elected, his party would help out local food and artisanal producers and farmers markets through what he calls a simplified New Brunswick Market Ready program for food and product licensing, inspection and labelling.
He says New Brunswick Market Ready would also include microbreweries.
