CBSA Offers Border-Crossing Tips For The Long Weekend

Crossing the border to do some last minute shopping before the kids head back to school may be in your plans this weekend, but there are some things you should take into consideration first.

Veronica Thorne with the Canada Border Services Agency says you should check border wait times before heading out. She says Sundays and Mondays are often very busy on a long weekend.

Horne also recommends keeping your travel documents ready prior to crossing the border. This makes the process quicker and easier.

Know what is inside your vehicle, how much you have spent in the United States, and also have your receipts ready when preparing to come back into Canada.
