The provincial Tories have promised more support for farmers.
The PC’s say they will create an Agriculture Action Strategy focusing on buy local initiatives if they’re re-elected on September 22nd.
The strategy would focus on creating a modern land use policy, attracting new farmers to agriculture and reducing government red tape in the industry.
The Tories didn’t provide a cost for the announcement.
Premier David Alward says 20,000 New Brunswickers currently work within the agriculture sector.
