Riverview man pleads guilty to causing a disturbance

A Riverview man has pleaded guilty to causing a disturbance at a memorial outside the Codiac RCMP detachment shortly after three Mounties were shot and killed and two others were wounded.

19-year-old David Earle Crawford, has admitted in Moncton court he caused a disturbance by swearing and shouting on June 9.

During the same incident, he pleaded not guilty to uttering threats to RCMP officers.

Crawford has also pleaded guilty to possession of a “small amount of drugs” and violating a curfew.

He will be back in court in January.

In the meantime, Crawford is been placed on partial house arrest with a new curfew allowing him to attend work or school.
