Heat warning issued for New Brunswick

A heat warning has been issued for most of New Brunswick.

Environment Canada says temperatures will reach 29 but feel closer to 41, Wednesday through Friday night but the heat may linger into Saturday.

Overnight temperatures will only dip down to 18 to 20 degrees.

The heat is expected over all areas of New Brunswick, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Southern New Brunswick can expect to feel it during the same time span on Friday.

However, cooler conditions can be expected along the Fundy Coast.

Environment Canada says to drink water often, close blinds or shades, turn on air conditioning or a fan and move to a cooler space such as a library or cooling centre if needed.

The forecaster says to follow the advice of your region’s pubic health authority.
