Diane Clair MacLennan

1941 – 2026

The family of Diane Claire MacLennan sadly announce her passing March 13, 2026, at Pavillion Cormier, Faubourg du Mascaret. 

Born in Truro, NS, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Spencer) Clark. Diane moved to Halifax to work at Scotiabank. This is where she met her husband Donald when he was attending university. Upon completion of Don’s studies, they moved to St. Lambert to start Don’s career. This career moved them to Saint John then to Riverview where they lived for 52 years. 

 Diane loved to cook and entertain. Because of their love of cooking, Diane and Don started a business making perogies which were distributed to Sobeys in the Maritime provinces.  Besides cooking, Diane loved playing bridge, reading, doing puzzles and travelling. 

Diane will be dearly missed by her husband of 65 years, Donald, her sons Donald (Katrina) of Parrsboro; Robert (Stacey) of Texas; daughter Heather (Derek) of Pollett River; her sister Nancy (Stephen) Hanna of Lakelands; Richard Clark of Windsor, NS; 10 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predecessor by her sisters Mary Brodie and Daphne Marshall. 

At Diane’s request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Honouring her wishes, she has donated her body to Dalhousie University Medical School. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
