1947 – 2026

The family wishes to share the news of the passing of Louise (Caissie) Roy of Bathurst, NB on  March 13, 2026 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born December 30, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah “Sadie” (Hachey) Caissie. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Edgar.

She is survived by daughters Koren Roy of Florida and Irene Knowles (Mark) of Riverview; sons Adam (Stephen) of Montreal and Stewart (Jeff) of Palm Springs; her only grandchild Angela Langelaan; two brothers, Reginald (Nicole) of Bathurst and Paul of Ontario; five sisters, Mary (late Wayne) Lambert of Ontario, Jean (Clifford) Hopkins of Newfoundland, Geraldine (late Conrad) Boudreau, Eva Mae Caissie, and Sharon (late Louis) Couture all of Bathurst, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant daughter Sarah; brothers Franklin, Blair, Mitch, and Walter.

As per the family’s wishes there will be no visitation or service; rather than grieving and/or donations the family wishes that a simple act of kindness would be appreciated.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (506-869-2007).
