Shediac River, NB. – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean-Paul Williams, 81, on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in MacDougall Settlement, he was the son of the late Alyre and the late Artémise Williams (LeBlanc).
Jean-Paul worked for many years at Lockhart’s and later at the Université de Moncton. He was a hard worker who was very proud of his home and property which he kept meticulously.
He will be forever missed by the love of his life, Rose-Ella Williams (Gallant); his two sons: Marc (Marie-Claude) of Shediac River and Martin (Mindy) of Shediac; he also leaves behind his four beloved grandchildren: Marc-André (Gabrielle), Alexandre (Savannah), Marcus, and Ella. He is survived by one sister, Claudette Caissie (late Joseph) of Grande-Digue; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters: Emilia, Aline (late Félix), Rita (late Léandre), Auréa (late Arthur), and Jeannita (late Clarence); as well as his brothers: Laurie (late Anita), Lionel (Dora), Léonard (Marianne), and Paul-Emile (Lucia).
Visitations will be held at Passage (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, from 9:00am until time of service. A funeral service will take place in the chapel at 11:00am.
Donations in memory of Jean-Paul can be made to the CHU Dumont Oncology Unit.
