April 3, 1950  –  March 1, 2026

Richard Sherwood, age 75, of Riverview, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 1, 2026, at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Walter and Gladys (Killam) Sherwood.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Judith Sherwood. He is also survived by his children: Richard Sherwood Jr. (Christina Darrach), Angie Sherwood (Mark McCormack), Timothy Sherwood (Amanda Young), April Storey (Fred Storey), and Rina Sherwood (Anthony O’Leary).

He will be deeply missed by his 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind Judith’s sons: Richard Mailliet (Necias Carbonilla), Clayton Mailliet (Julia Hermitage), and Christopher Wilt, along with two additional grandchildren.

Richard came from a large family of 11 brothers and sisters. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Cheryl, Betty, Jack, Lee, and Jean; his Aunt Liz; and his daughter-in-law, Kylee Downing.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. from Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton, NB (506-858-1995). Memorial donations may be made to The I.W.K foundation.
