Hillsborough Road crash under investigation

RCMP believes alcohol was a factor in a crash on Hillsborough Road.

Riverview Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief John Malloy says it happened at around 6:15 p.m. Sunday evening.

Malloy says it appeared a vehicle had left the road, and struck a crosswalk overhead sign and two other vehicles before hitting a home.

Firefighters extricated one person from a vehicle. They were transported to hospital but there’s no word on the extent of injuries..

Nine firefighters were on the scene with one Chief Officer, along with three trucks, one Engine, one Rescue and one command vehicle.

Codiac RCMP, Ambulance New Brunswick, NB Power, and the Town of Riverview Public Works were also on the scene.
