Woman Struck By CN Train In Moncton

An investigation is underway after a woman was struck by a CN train while walking by the tracks near the Church Street crossing in Moncton.

CN spokesperson Jonathan Abecassis says crews responded to the area at around 7pm last night.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious, but non life threatening injuries.

The train came to an emergency stop and blocked five crossings in the downtown area, for around an hour.

RCMP, Ambulance New Brunswick and Moncton Firefighters were all on scene.
