Saint John police say a 36-year-old woman has died after falling off a cliff at a gravel pit in the city.
Police say they were called to the gravel pit in the Golden Grove Road area around 12:20 a.m. Saturday.
In a news release, Insp. Tanya LeBlanc said a 39-year-old man, who also fell from the cliff, is in stable condition in hospital.
LeBlanc said the incident is believed to have been an accident, but the Major Crime Unit is investigating.
