Snowfall Warning In Effect

A powerful winter storm is going to bring a whole lot of snow to New Brunswick later today.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the southern half of the province.

Snow will begin Sunday afternoon, become heavy at times this evening and mix with or change to ice pellets overnight.

Forecasters are calling for between 15 and 25 centimetres of snow before before it tapers to flurries on Monday.

Strong winds will also bring blowing snow Sunday afternoon and evening.

Northern New Brunswick will see the brunt of the snow — 30 to 40 cm in the northwest and 40 to 60 cm in the northeast.
