For the month of December, the Magnetic Hill Zoo will be open and looking very festive for the Christmas season.
The Wild Lights program has returned for a second year.
Zoo manager Bruce Dougan says the program has doubled in size this year but admission prices remain the same.
“You’re going to see hundreds of thousands of lights in the zoo actually. Many lighted figures and a couple areas where there will be light shows or light presentations. There’s going to be video in the zoo as well,” he notes.
Visitors will be able to see animals in the Primate Center, Discovery Center, and Ecodome and many winter hardy animals will be outdoors depending on the weather.
During December, the Zoo is open daily from 5 until 9pm and on weekends it opens at 2pm except it will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
