The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their son to the world yesterday, but he has yet to be named.
Regional Spokesperson for the Monarchist League of Canada Barry MacKenzie expects something traditional, “We’ve had a George and a Charlotte so far and we’re not going to get anything particularly, I don’t think . They have been very conscious of the fact that this little guy will someday be the brother of a King. They seem to be leaning towards something that is particularly appropriate and maybe there will even be a nod to the past. My wife and I think Phillip would be a great tribute to his great grandfather, the Duke of Edinborough, but it is hard to say. I think we can be fairly confident that it will be well thought out and very classic and fit in very nicely within the family.”
He expects we’ll find out within the next few days, “Then we’ll have fun of trying to analyze what the significance of the many names are, because there will be several.”
