The City of Moncton is advising residents in the Salisbury road, Bond Drive and Wright Drive areas of a water boil advisory.
Due to a water main break, the Department of Health has imposed a precautionary boil water advisory to residents in the area.
Officials say it will be in place until two consecutive clean bacteria samples can be returned.
All residents have been advised by city staff who are going door to door and affected residents have been given a boil advisory information pamphlet.
