Warning On Carbon Pricing From Green Party

The provincial government’s climate change plan falls short according to Green Party leader David Coon. He wouldn’t be surprised to see the federal government impose a carbon tax on the province. Coon warns putting a price on carbon is a requirement of the Pan Canadian agreement on clean growth and climate change.

Premier Brian Gallant doesn’t acknowledge that saying if the federal govoernment takes a close look, it will find New Brunswick is not only meeting but is exceeding the carbon reduction targets.

Federal Environment Catherin McKenna posted on her Facebook page that without a price on carbon, she doesn’t see how you will reduce carbon pollution.
