Wanted Moncton Man Surrenders Following Stabbing

A Moncton man – wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for aggravated assault – has turned himself into police.

Jeffrey Ernest Curran, 29, was wanted in connection with a stabbing that sent a 36-year-old man to hospital with injuries.

The incident happened in Robinson Court around 2-am last Thursday.

Curran surrendered to police last night at the Codiac RCMP detachment.

He made a brief court appearance today and was sent for a 30-day psychiatric evaluation.

Curran returns to court on June 3.
