Volunteers Needed For Participatory Budget Projects In Dieppe

The City of Dieppe is looking for volunteers to help in the second edition of their participatory budget process.

Director of the Organizational Performance Department Luc Richard says they are in the second phase, and are now trying to build projects out of submitted ideas.

He adds they are connected to four categories.

“Green Community, which is with the environment, we have a Connected Community which details about connecting people together whether it’s by technology or person, we have a Creative Community which focuses on the arts and heritage, and we also have an Active Community,” says Richard.

He says no particular expertise or experience in areas is needed to contribute.

“Absolutely no experience needed, the experience of living in the community provides you with a perspective that’s valuable to the building of projects,” says Richard. “People that are on the ground, and living in the community know what’s out there, know what they needs are.”

Richard says the first of several scheduled meetings is tonight from 6:30 to to 8:30 at Dieppe City Hall.

More information about the ideas, and the process can be found HERE.
