Rothesay MLA Still Wants Inquiry

Rothesay MLA Ted Flemming says the ultimatum Premier Brian Gallant gave to Donald Arsenault which forced him to resign as a member of the Legislature only came about as a result of the political heat.

Flemming says an inquiry is still needed because there are a lot of unanswered questions and inconsistencies about the time line.

Flemming says the Conflict of Interest Act is meant to establish a cooling off period after an MLA leaves but no one ever contemplated it would have to apply when you were still an MLA.
