The water fountain in Victoria Park is getting a makeover.
City of Moncton officials say reconstruction of the fountain will begin next week.
City Council approved the $273,000 project last month which was a higher cost than expected.
Besides the new fountain, underground work to replace pipes and services is also needed.
The new fountain will have three tiers and a reflecting pool at the base.
The work is expected to take about three months.
