UPDATED: Cancellations And Delays For Day Of Messy Weather

Students have their first snow day of the school year, or should we call it a freezing rain day?

With the forecast calling for snow this morning, changing to freezing rain this afternoon, schools in Anglophone East, Francophone South Anglophone West, Anglophone South and Anglophone North are closed for the day.

Conditions could get messy today. Environment Canada is forecasting up to 10 centimetres of snow and ice pellets today. That will switchover to freezing rain this afternoon, and then to rain as temperatures get above zero.

If you heading out to a warmer destination today, check ahead for flight delays. As of 9:30am, there were a few cancellations and delays, but there are still some flights running on time.
