A fatal head on collision in Moncton has taken the life of an 80-year-old woman from Dieppe.
Codiac RCMP responded to the accident on Lewisville Road around 11:20 PM Saturday.
The collision is believed to have occurred when a Chevrolet Cruz attempting to make a left-hand turn collided with a Volkswagen Jetta travelling East.
The two vehicles had collided sending the Jetta off to the side of the road, and flipping the Cruz upside down.
Fire crews extracted the three occupants of the vehicles. Two men, the drivers of the vehicles, were sent to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The female passenger of the flipped car died at the scene from her injuries.
No word on what caused the accident, but speed is believed to have been a factor.
