A local man charged with his mother’s murder heading back before a judge tomorrow (Friday).
St. Stephen Court will hear the results of a 30-day psychiatric evaluation for 34-year-old Matthew Tucker, who was charged with second degree murder in November for the death of his mother, 53-year-old Dorothy Tucker of Oak Haven.
Judge Henrick Tonning requesting the assessment at the Restigouche Hospital Centre in Campbellton to determine Tucker’s fitness to stand trial and if he was criminally responsible at the time of Dorothy’s death.
Dorothy’s body was found, unrecognizable, by two hunters in a wooded area of St. David Ridge on November 20th, after being reported missing for over a week.
