The Magnetic Hill Zoo has been treating visitors to Halloween fun for over 20 years.
The annual ‘Boo at the Zoo’ will be happening over the next two weekends.
Zoo spokesperson Cathy Simon says they prepared something new for this year’s event.
Zoo director and chef extraordinaire Jill Marvin has cooked up some special treats for the bravest visitors.
“So she has four flavours of edible bugs, so that includes chocolate covered crickets and some wax worms, that sort of thing,” says Simon.
You’ll get the chance to try the candy-coated critters while supplies last on both Saturdays of the event.
- Cinnamon and sugar flavoured wax worms.
- Chipotle flavoured wax worms.
- Baked crickets, ready to be dipped in chocolate fondue.
- Chocolate chip cookies with chocolate-covered cricket.
