Someone has been illegally disposing of commercial and household waste in the Town of Riverview.
Officials have found everything from blue and green bag waste, to large appliances and hazardous waste at the end of Runnymeade Road and Trites Road.
Chief Administrative Officer Colin Smith says they’ve installed surveillance cameras with the hopes for finding those responsible. They could face some hefty fines between $500 and $50, 000 for an individual who is found to be dumping on private property. A group or company could be fined between $1000 and $1 million.
