Move over Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Today is Giving Tuesday.
The Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick United Way is just one organization that hopes to benefit.
Spokesperson Trevor MacDougall explains what the day is all about.
“What it stemmed from was people spending a pile of cash on Black Friday, and then again on Cyber Monday, and hopefully people would open up their hearts and their wallets and be able to donate to non profits throughout the community,” says MacDougall.
Donations through the United Way will be divided up between various community organizations.
