More than 100 tickets were issued and four vehicles were towed during a recent RCMP traffic enforcement blitz in the tri-communities.
Last Friday (October 22), Mounties were targeting distracted drivers, speeding and modified vehicles.
The tickets issued included 38 for speeding, 13 for failing to wear a seatbelt and nine for using hand-held devices while driving.
Three drivers were charged for having a suspended licence and other warnings and compliance orders were issued for various infractions.
As a reminder, police say any vehicle modified from its original state must be certified by an engineer and get regular provincial inspections.
The blitz was part of New Brunswick RCMP’s regular, targeted traffic enforcement on roads throughout the province.
