Jones Lake Reopens To Recreational Activities

The City of Moncton has reopened Jones Lake to the public for recreational activities.

It was closed in September due to “higher levels than usual” of bacteria.

Centennial Lake on the otherhand, remains closed.

Kayaking, canoeing and other activities are prohibited and pet owners are being asked to keep their animals out of the water.

The City of Moncton says routine testing is done on all municipally owned bodies of water.
