England, France and Colombia are three teams which have chosen to do their technical inspections of Moncton Stadium today.
The teams, along with Mexico, will play two matches each here next June during the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Other matches announced will feature Ivory Coast playing Norway and Brazil taking on Costa Rica.
Moncton Venue General Manager Stephane Delisle says we can expect a world-class sporting event here next summer.
“For anyone who is following women’s football, obviously Brazil is a contender… and Marta is her name… she is considered one of the best players on the planet… and she’ll be playing here in Moncton so that’s pretty special.”
He notes the matchup between England and France will be especially interesting for fans.
