UPDATE: Three Dead In PEI Crash On Thanksgiving Day

RCMP have released more details about a fatal crash in Prince Edward Island on Thanksgiving Day.

Three people were killed when a car and a dump truck collided at an intersection in Caledonia, which is on the southeastern part of the Island.

RCMP say the occupants in both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims are, a 72 year-old woman from Pembroke, PEI, as well as the passenger, a 90 year-old woman from Gaspereaux, PEI. A 57 year-old man from Fortune Bridge, PEI, who was driving the dump truck was also killed.

The highway was closed for most of the afternoon and evening.

There’s no word yet what caused the crash.
