Sussex RCMP arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with an arson this week.
A press release said officers responded to a report of a residential fire on Post Road in Sussex on Wednesday.
The investigation led them to a person of interest, and they quickly located and arrested the suspect without incident.
The Sussex man appeared in Saint John provincial court Thursday and was charged with arson and mischief.
The man was remanded into custody and is scheduled to be back in court on Jan. 8.
The investigation is ongoing.
