Gas prices dropping 8 cents tonight in N.B.

Gas prices are going down again Friday night, according to an industry source.

The interrupter clause will be used and the maximum price of regular gas will drop 7.8 cents per litre to approximately $1.37 per litre.

No change to diesel prices is expected.

The current maximum is set at $1.45 per litre.

The change comes just a day after the provincial government announced it had amended regulations under the Petroleum Products Pricing Act so a fuel blend of ethanol and gasoline would be used to determine benchmark prices for regular gas in New Brunswick.
